Chapter 1071 - December 16, 2017 Membership Meeting
For our December meeting we had our second annual Christmas free breakfast for our members. Member Rick Winfrey accepted more donations of winter clothing for the Veterans in the mountains. Member Bob Lopez collected new and used purses for homeless women Veterans. Our attendance for this meeting was a total of 70 members and guests. Thank you to all who attended.

Chapter 1071 - November 18, 2017 Membership Meeting
The Chapter thanks American Legion Post 161 for allowing our November meeting at their location. Our Veterans Day Poppy Fundraiser at four King Sooper stores was a huge success! Team leaders and members spoke about their great interactions with the store customers. VVA State Council President Lee White presented Ray Holtz a plaque for receiving the Webmaster Of The Year Award for 2017 from VVA National Headquarters. Our attendance for this meeting was a total of 52 members and guests. Thank you to all who attended.

Chapter 1071 - October 21, 2017 Membership Meeting
For our October meeting, member Al Roettger conducted an interview with Marty Chavez about Marty’s tour of duty in Vietnam. Our Winter Clothing donation was a huge success. Rick Winfrey’s truck was filled to the max, and the Veterans in the mountains will appreciate your generous donations. Our attendance was a total of 60 members and guests. President Stan Paprocki and Vice President Terry Ritenour gave a report on the National VVA convention in New Orleans. Our attendance was a total of 52 members and guests. Thank you to all who attended.

Chapter 1071 - August 19, 2017 Membership Meeting
The guest speaker for this month’s meeting was our Member Phil Waters. Phil’s presentation was about his Navy Aircraft Carrier experience during 1967 and 1968 and the combat flight missions he was on over North Vietnam. At the National VVA convention in New Orleans President Stan Paprocki accepted the Website of the Year awarded in behalf of our Webmaster Ray Holtz and he then presented it to Ray at our meeting. Our largest attendance ever was a total of 73 members and guests. Thank you to all who attended.

Chapter 1071 - July 15, 2017 Membership Meeting
The guest speaker for this month’s meeting was our Chapters Chaplain John Altfeltis. John’s great PowerPoint presentation was about the most decorated Battleship the USS New Jersey and his duties on board. Our attendance for this meeting was a total of 58 members and guests. Chapter 1071 - June 17, 2017 Membership Meeting
The guest speakers for this month’s meeting was Carl Lofaro and Stacy Goodman from the Jefferson Center for Mental Health. June is PTSD Awareness Month and they spoke on the Mental Health First Aid USA training program. This program is designed to give ordinary people the skills to help anyone who is developing a mental health problem. Our attendance for this meeting was a total of 62 members and guests. Chapter 1071 - May 20, 2017 Membership Meeting
Our guest speaker for our May meeting was Miles Schwartz who is the American History teacher at Green Mountain High School along with students Logan and Dominic. They spoke about the value of our Chapter visiting the High Schools and mixing with the kids. Our attendance for this meeting was a total of 62 members and guests. Thank you for all who attended.

Chapter 1071 - April 15, 2017 Membership Meeting
The guest speaker for this month’s meeting was member Bill Bleau who spoke about Veterans Benefits, submitting claims, and other veteran issues. Member John Thompson gave an uplifting speech about being proud to be a Vietnam Veteran. Our attendance for this meeting was a total of 68 members and guests. Thank you for all who attended.

Chapter 1071 - March 18, 2017 Membership Meeting
The guest speaker for this month’s meeting was Green Mountain High School student Dante Potter. He is leading a team of GMHS students that provides homeless veterans care packages with basic items needed to survive. He has a full scholarship from the Navy and will attend the Univ. of Idaho next fall. We presented the Colorado Woodworkers Guild with a Certificate and challenge coin for their donated cremation boxes for our Honors Burial Project. Our attendance for this meeting was a total of 69 members and guests. Thank you for all who attended.

Chapter 1071 - February 18, 2017 Membership Meeting
This month’s meeting the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) President Janet Beiner and her members presented to members of our chapter the Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War pin and certificate. Retiring founding Board member and Officer Dan Dietz was presented with a plaque honoring his service to our chapter. Our attendance for this meeting was a total of 75 members and guests. Thank you for all who attended.
