Duties: Platoon Leader, B Co., 3/187 Infantry
Platoon Leader, 3d Brigade, HQ security platoon.
Operations: We patrolled in the rice paddy country
Between Cu Chi and Tay Ninh 6-11/1968. Then we
moved into the mountains of Thua Thien Province
(SW of Hué) 12/68 – 6/69.
Awards: Combat Infantry Badge,
Silver Star, Bronze Star V, Air Medal, ARCom.

Life After VietNam:
Happily married with Linda, RN, since 1967.
We have two sons (RN and paramedic) and two
grandkids, who live in Lakewood, Colorado.
I worked as a land surveyor for the Green Mountain
National Forest, Vermont (1975-82) and the Tongass N.F., Southeast Alaska (1982-2002).
Volunteer firefighter & EMT 25 years. Fire Chef 1988-2008.
I returned to VN in 2008, 2010, 2012, & 2014 with teams of VN veterans to construct rural school buildings. Linda came, too, in 2010. If any vets want to discuss returning to VN, let's talk.
